Dr. Matt Iseman graduated with honors from Princeton University with a degree in American History, then received MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons as a member of the AOA Honor Medical Society. He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado before pursuing his career in entertainment.

He moved out to LA and quickly became a national touring stand up comedian, releasing his first CD, “I Want a Happy Ending” and that same year landed his first hosting gig, Scream Play on E! It lasted one season but led him to a 6 year stint on Style Network’s Clean House where Iseman, serving as the Goto Guy, won his first Emmy. That show led to one of the Soup franchise spin-off’s, Scream Play. Iseman got hugged By Mike Tyson, slammed by Stone Cold Steve Austin and defeated Shaq in a spelling bee (Z-Y-D-R-U-N-A-S stumped him). That led to the gig on American Ninja Warrior, where he just wrapped filming on seasons 15 AND 16!

Iseman went on the compete on Celebrity Apprentice with Arnold Schwarzenegger, where he WON, raising nearly $1 million for his charity, the Arthritis Foundation and was crowned the NEW Celebrity Apprentice. And, as the show was canceled the stay after he won, Iseman is the LAST Celebrity Apprentice.

Iseman has remained close with Governor Schwarzenegger, hosting charity events for him, raising millions and millions of dollars for After School All Stars, strong man sporting competitions, and even hosting the Austrian world Summit on climate change in Vienna every year.

In 2002, he was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, a chronic autoimmune disease for which there is no cure. He’s been a spokesman for the Arthritis Foundation since his diagnosis, working to raise awareness and patient advocacy. Although traditional treatments offered some relief, after a decade of chronic pain, Iseman became a proponent for medical marijuana.

He’s also worked with Boulder Crest & the Armed Services Arts Partnership, organizations that help veterans and first responders deal with PTSD.

Iseman continues to work to support those dealing with chronic pain and mental health challenges. He also hosted Live Rescue for A&E LIVE every week for two years where we followed 10 crews across the country: Fire Department, Paramedics and EMTs live, documenting their nights LIVE as they saved lives and served their community.
