Laura Welch is currently Manager, of Unscripted Programming and Development for Lifetime Television. She started with the company in 2019 as a coordinator and has worked on some of the network’s most iconic series including the Married at First Sight and Little Women franchises,  Surviving R. Kelly: The Final Reckoning, #TextMeWhenYouGetHome and many of Lifetime’s Beyond the Headlines companion documentaries.

Prior to joining Lifetime, Welch was a development and production coordinator for Thinkfactory Media/ITV America and also served as the executive assistant to the CEO during her tenure there. Welch also worked in the scripted realm, previously as a script editor and analyst for BlueCat Script Competition where she read, analyzed and noted over 500 scripts a year for feature, pilot, and short films. Welch began her media career as a production assistant at Entertainment Tonight and The Insider, working
closely with producers and directors in the creation of the nightly entertainment shows.

A Massachusetts native and University of Texas at Austin graduate with a Radio, Television and Film degree from the Moody College of Communications and a Business Foundations Program Certificate from McCombs School of Business, Welch currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
