Thomas Dey is Chief Executive Officer, President and Founder of ACF, a leading international Investment Bank, specialized in selling, buying, fundraising, and pre and post deal services for businesses in intellectual property, content creation and international distribution.

With offices in the UK and USA, ACF have advised on close to 100 transactions in the media and entertainment sector with a combined transaction value of over $5 billion.

Thomas has 27 years’ experience in Mergers and Acquisitions and was previously a Partner in the global accounting firm Grant Thornton where he headed the Media and Entertainment Investment Banking Team. He grew this team to be the sector leader with a dominant position in Media and Entertainment.

Thomas is a regular speaker for Realscreen and has been honored yearly by Variety in its Dealmakers Impact Report which annually lists the industry’s top Hollywood dealmakers.

Thomas’s transactions include advising Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones on the sale of their company Broke and Bones to Netflix, advising Plimsoll Productions on its fundraise from Lloyds Development Capital in a deal valuing Plimsoll at over $100 Million which led to the resurgence of Private Equity into the TV sector, the sale of Pilgrim Studios (producer of Ultimate Fighter) to Lionsgate (producer of Hunger Games); Leftfield Entertainment (Pawn Stars and Real Housewives of New Jersey) to ITV Plc; Love Productions (creator of The Great British Bake off) to Sky and Top Gear (the world’s most popular show with 350 million weekly viewers) on behalf of Jeremy Clarkson to BBC.
