Kirsty Hanson is a Commissioning Editor at UKTV, home of channels including Dave, W, Gold and Yesterday. Since joining the multi-channel broadcaster in 2018, Kirsty has commissioned My Famous Babysitter and The Wedding Fixer for W, and Stream Train Britain for Yesterday. She has also recently taken over responsibility for Yesterday’s hugely popular series Bangers and Cash and The Architecture The Railways Built.
Kirsty is an experienced Executive Producer with a raft of high-profile, primetime series to her name, in all genres. From Popular Factual and Documentary, to Formats and Features. She has managed primetime, returning brands such as What Not To Wear, Would Like To Meet and The Hoarder Next Door.
Prior to joining UKTV Kirsty was a Commissioning Editor at BBC Worldwide where she commissioned shows including, Meet The Humans with Michael Mosley, Special Forces: Ultimate Hell Week and Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond The Lobby.
