Leo Faber is an Executive Producer in the Factual & Culture department of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) where he has worked for the past five years. Leo oversees a large and diverse slate of factual projects spanning multiple fields such as science, natural history, social issues, travel, lifestyle and modern history. His slate is entirely comprised of commissioned projects from external producers. Prior to joining the ABC, in a career spanning over twenty years, Leo Faber has produced, directed and written hundreds of hours of television for of the world’s top broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, Nat Geo, Discovery, Channel 4 plus all the Australian networks. He has also held executive positions at Red Bull Media House where he was Head of Content, Australia, and before that he headed up Factual Development at award winning indie Essential Media & Entertainment. Leo has also been a respected leader in the global VR community since launching BADFAITH collective in 2015. His VR work was official selection at Sundance, Rotterdam, Berlin, Melbourne, Sydney. His work has been shown at Art Museums across the world and exhibited at the Cannes Film Festival. Leo is the inaugural representative for the VR industry on the advisory board at the prestigious Australian Film and Television & Radio School and he also holds positions in VR incubator Kaleidoscope.
