David George

CEO

ITV America

David George serves as CEO of ITV America, encompassing production companies ITV Entertainment, Leftfield Pictures, Sirens Media, Thinkfactory Media, High Noon Entertainment and Good Caper Content, with responsibility for the group’s creative development, production and operations.

During his tenure he has developed such breakthrough series as the reimagined Queer Eye for Netflix – winner of seven Emmy Awards including Outstanding Structured Reality Program in 2018 and 2019 – as well as the award-winning Alone for History. George was instrumental in the US sale of ITV format and UK mega-hit Love Island to CBS in 2018 and securing ITV America as the exclusive unscripted production partner of Jimmy Kimmel’s production label, Kimmelot (Crank Yankers, Revenge of the Nerd). He also spearheaded the franchising of iconic “hidden treasures” series Pawn Stars, still in production and airing on History, and maintains oversight of long-running shows like History’s Forged in Fire and Counting Cars, Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and A&E’s The First 48, as well as critically acclaimed documentary specials such as ESPN Films’ Year of the Scab and National Geographic’s Billy the Kid: New Evidence, produced with Kevin Costner. Previously, George was CEO of Leftfield Entertainment where he helped expand the Leftfield production group, managing a broad roster of unscripted series, documentaries and live programming across cable, broadcast and streaming platforms (Leftfield Entertainment was acquired by ITV in 2014). George joined Leftfield Pictures in 2010 as an executive producer and rose through the ranks, becoming president of Leftfield Pictures in 2014. He began his career at cable network MTV where he executive produced and oversaw the majority of the decade-long run of iconic series Total Request Live (TRL), as well as other series, live events and specials for the network, including the Emmy-nominated Legally Blonde: The Musical, and pioneered the digital content and streaming strategies for TRL and MTV’s Video Music Awards.
