Propelling women in unscripted: facing challenging times, together

Advocating for women in unscripted content is even more important during the COVID-19 pandemic as the current situation brings into sharp focus the many challenges of women in the business. Balancing the demands of work and family and navigating the ins and outs of a fickle freelance market can be barriers to entry, but there is a real need for fresh new talent and ideas to invigorate the industry and effective mentorship to shepherd these emerging voices. Propelle, a joint initiative from Realscreen and Everywoman Studios, aims to shine a spotlight on women's issues while mapping a pathway to success. This session brings together top executives from the production and network spheres to discuss how the content community can support and propel female creators and ultimately benefit the industry as a whole. The panel will also reveal the finalists for Everywoman Studios and Realscreen's inaugural Propelle accelerator program.
